Flocculation

The primary function of anionic polymer powder is flocculation. Here is the step-by-step process:

1. Dissolution: The powder is dissolved in water to create a viscous solution.

2. Adsorption: The long polymer chains attach to the surface of suspended particles in a liquid.

3. Bridging: The polymer "bridges" multiple particles together, forming large, heavy clumps called flocs.

    

4. Sedimentation: These heavy flocs sink to the bottom (or float to the top), leaving the water clear.
